General Info
ORANGE Magazine Base Pads for 1911 Single Stack Magazines.
Use various colors to personalize and identify your magazines, and distinguish between calibers,
load types, order of use etc.
Base Pads are essential for extending the overall length of the magazine by 1/2".
- They aid in the proper seating of the magazine in a speed reload
- They assist in giving the magazine a "grip" on the bottom in the event of the mag becoming stuck.
- They aid in protecting the magazine when hitting the ground when dropped free.
The pads are 1/2" thick and made from a durable hard nylon/plastic that is solvent resistant.
They have two .531" center-to-center spaced holes and include two, 4-40 thread, Stainless Steel,
Thread Cutting
screws per pad.
A tap is NOT necessary as the screws will cut their own threads on entry.
YOUR MAGAZINES MUST HAVE THE 2 PRE-EXISTING HOLES IN THE BOTTOM, SPACED .550" APART, ON CENTER.
IF THEY DO NOT HAVE HOLES, YOU MUST DRILL THE CORRECT SIZE HOLES TO ACCEPT THE SCREWS.
These are the same base pads as found on magazines sold by Chip McCormick, Ed Brown, Mitchell, Les Baer , Springfield,
Kimber, Smith & Wesson and others.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR MAGAZINE PADS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY 1911 MAGAZINE WITH A REMOVABLE FLOOR PLATE.
THEY CAN ONLY BE CORRECTLY INSTALLED ON MAGAZINES WITH A FLAT, WELDED FLOORPLATE.
