General Info
Packaged 10 Recoil Shock Buffers per package.
These Polyurethane recoil buffers fit on the recoil spring guide rod and cushion the impact of the slide against the frame during recoil.
Our recoil buffers help minimize battering of the frame that can lead to premature wear or cracking.
During the practice firing of factory, Plus +P or other high performance ammunition, install a recoil buffer on your recoil spring guide rod to protect your frame from battering which can lead to cracks in the frame.
CDP 1911 Recoil Shock Buffers provide protection for up to 1000 rounds of firing.
While our recoil buffers are manufactured using a precision plastic injection molding process, they are an accessory that should only be used during firing of the weapon on the practice range.
It is NOT RECOMMENDED that ANY RECOIL BUFFER be left installed or used "full-time" in on-duty sidearms
or constantly carried, primary self-defense weapons. Remove them before returning the weapon to service.
Perfect for use in full sized Government 1911A1 and Commander-length barreled pistols.
Due to clearances inherent to the original design and their potential to influence malfunction issues,
recoil buffers are not recommended for use in compact or sub-compact 1911 frames such as
the Colt Officers Model, Detonics, Springfield, Kimber or Para-Ordnance compact or "micro" models.
